BIO DYNAMIC?

The Bio-Dynamic method is a new approach to organic agriculture based on advanced knowledge of the workings of the soil, plants and animals as they exist on the farm and as part of the total environment.

It aims to produce well-balanced plant growth from a sustainable soil fertility through enhancing soil structure and the availability of nutrients.

It uses a range of farm sourced "preparations" to assist in effecting these aims. These preparations, developed initially by Dr. Rudolf Steiner, are made from plant, animal and natural rock materials.

Organic Crop Production

• Land must have no prohibited substances applied to it for at least three years before the harvest of an organic crop.

• Use of genetic engineering, irradiation, and sewage sludge is prohibited.

• Soil fertility and crop nutrients must be managed through tillage and cultivation practices, supplemented with animal and crop waste materials and allowed synthetic materials.

• Preference must be given to use of organic seeds and other plant stock, but a farmer can use non-organic seeds and plant stock under certain conditions.

• Crop pests, weeds, and diseases must be controlled primarily through management practices including physical, mechanical, and biological controls. When these practices are not sufficient, a biological, botanical, or synthetic substance from a specific list of approved synthetics may be used.

We take care that our farm's soil is not harmed by chemicals or by synthetic substances.

There is no damage to the environment or to the water. 

The Tea Tree is in it's natural habitat so it doesn't need any fertilizer to grow. (Nature makes it's own)

After distillation, the remainder of the tree is used as fertilizer on the farm. (The nutrients work in a circle)
